Article from unknown newspaper defending student protestors on college campuses
Description
An account of the resource
This article, written by a former news writer and mother, discusses the necessity for student protestors to better campus life and society. She insists that America's youth is not to blame, but that they are fighting injustices on campus and around the world--namely the Vietnam War. In addition, she states that students are attempting to undo the bigotry of previous generations by advocating for people of color and better education.

Description
An account of the resource
Pictured, from left to right: Danny Wilson, Sen. Mervyn Dymally, Eileen Wilson, and Kevin Wilks. Kevin Wilks is incorrectly identified as John Payton in the article. The press coverage surrounding the February bombings continued to focus on the Black Student Union, the month following the Claremont campus bombings. The BSU members stayed calm in the face of suspicion and continued advocating for Black spaces on campus, although things looked bleak in early March. In a world rocked by the 1968 Paris protests, Black Panther demonstrations, and US anti-war agitation, the bombings engendered paranoia about how student activism might turn to violence.
