Letter from Mark H. Curtis to Stefanos Ployzoides

In this letter of 1992, Mark Curtis, President of Scripps College from 1964 to 1976, discussed the first sit-in that occurred during his Presidency.  The sit-in protested the removal of an olive tree grove to construct the Humanities Building. Curtis told Polyzoides how he addressed the student sit-in, and also described the reaction of alumnae.
